Last Rose of Summer

Hello everyone,

I have been missing for a few days as we are trying to get all our outdoor jobs done as the weather is definitely reminding us that winter is on it's way. the ground was froze this morning and we had some snow pellets a couple of days ago as we were working at garden cleanup. I am happy to say that today we should finish and it is lovely and sunny now. They are predicting rain for the next five days so I will be happy to know we have finished with those outside jobs and I can start doing some Christmas decorating soon.

The shots above were taken this morning in the garden and this will be my last rose of summer.

Now that the garden is past I am ready to move on to Christmas. I have been thinking of having a special Christmas blog since I love Christmas time but haven't decided yet.I have been enjoying the Christmas magazines and am looking for new ideas. What about you are you dreaming of Christmas or is it too early for you yet? I remember when I was a child our tree went up a few days before Christmas and came down shortly after and my parents shopped a couple of days before for one gift for each of us- much simpler then today. Although I think Christmas is way to commercial now and stressful for many, I still love it all!

So now that we have enjoyed the last rose of summer I am already moving on to the next season! Hey, did I just miss fall!...... where did the time go ???
