There is something about the cooler weather, that makes me want to spend more time in the kitchen.
Today, I baked some home made bread.
This cookbook, has all kinds of wonderful bread recipes. From simple Tuscan bread, to French Baguettes.
I chose to make Pain Ordinaire - or Basic Bread.
The recipe suggested that if you wanted a more rustic style bread to substitute wheat flour for some of the white flour. That is what I did.
It came out perfect! Crispy, crunchy crust and a rustic tender interior.
Do you bake your own bread? I think I might start doing this once a week.
Welcome Home,
Penny
