Dining Room Makeover - Dining Chairs

To truly transform the dining room I feel as though the dining chairs would have to be switched. Right now they are the chairs that came with the table and feel too heavy for the room. I don't want to paint them, as it (a) won't be the look I want and (b) I don't want to ruin the chairs. Ideally we'd add in some upholstered chairs like some of these...

Not sure which ones..We have to keep in mind that we need 6 chairs and that starts adding up!
